Sapelo Island

UGA has a Marine Science Center on Sapelo Island. It's one of the barrier islands off the GA coast. Ben had to go down to work on a building so we got to go with him. Ah, the perks of university work... Grandmama got to go too. We had such a good time.

The golf cart was our primary mode of transportation to the beach and around the island. The island is primarily used as a research place now, but there are about 90 or so people that live on the island. You can only get there by pedestrian ferry. The white house is where we stayed.

The island is about an hour south of Savannah so we got to go visit some friends that we haven't seen in about a year and a half.

long time, no post...

The boys are growing up so much! Just this week Jude has learned how to point, clap and get down off of furniture backwards (as opposed to face first)! It's really cute, just like he his!

Isaac is growing and learning a lot too. It amazes me how much he knows. He loves music (he hums ALL the time). He also loves hanging out with his friend, Isabel! This is them playing at Watson Mill Bridge State Park a few weeks ago.

We've had a lot going on this past month. Mammaw came for a visit on Memorial Day weekend. We went to Sandy Creek Park where there is a beach. This was the first time Jude has been to the beach. He loved the sand and the water! We also went to the zoo in Atlanta. That was a lot of fun!, too!

The Naked Mole Rats were Ben's favorite at the zoo. That's what he calls the boys when they are wet from the bath tub. The boys are much much cuter than naked mole rats. My favorite was the Stud Hut; I mean, the Gorillas. ;) Isaac and Jude like the Pandas the most I think. It was a really fun day!
